A new venue has just taken up carpet bowls in Lancashire. Sessions are now being held at the Holy Family Church Hall in Southport (old Lancashire!) and our Chairman, Ian, gave them a visit to teach the rules and give some advice.

There will be some really promising players there, but the slightly uneven floor certainly made it a challenge. However all seemed to enjoy the session and the enthusiasm was great to see. Hopefully there will be some future Lancashire players amongst the newbies.

With another new extra venue coming on stream in November in Aughton it is great to see the game now spreading.

Welcome to the new website for Lancashire Carpet Bowls. We will be responsible for running the carpet bowls sessions at the Guide Headquarters, Green Lane, Ormskirk. If you are interested in coming along and having a go just complete our contact form or turn up at one of our sessions (Mondays 10-12am or Wednesdays 1.30-3.30pm). The first session is free and we will give you full guidance on how to play. No equipment or special clothing is necessary.
